How do I request a price?

To request a quote, please use our contact form and we will respond promptly. Alternatively, you can email your enquiry to printing@carlypress.co.uk or call us on 01823 667063

How do I place an order?

To place an order, please call or email us, or click the Get a quote button above. If you use Purchase orders, please send that to us along with your artwork. You can upload your artwork by clicking the Upload Artwork button above. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact us, we're here to help.

What is the turnaround time?

Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of the job. We strive to complete your job as quickly as possible while maintaining our high standards of quality. You will be advised at the time or order or proof approval of the turnaround we are working to. For urgent requests, please reach out to us directly, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

What file formats do you accept?

We prefer to receive high-resolution (300 dpi) print-ready PDF files. However, if you have files in other formats, our studio can assist with conversion and provide guidance as needed.

What are your office opening hours?

Monday to Thursday from 9am til 5.30pm. Fridays 9am til 5pm, however our factory operates two production shifts daily. For further assistance please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team.

How should my artwork files be set up?

Please set your artwork to the trim size, add 3mm bleed and include crop marks. We request high-resolution PDF artwork.

Do you print business cards?

Yes, please get in touch, we print millions per year.

How can I be sure that my files will print properly?

Our studio team perform thorough, multi-point checks during the proofing stage to ensure that the final product meets the highest standards of quality.

Do you produce proofs prior to printing?

Yes, we offer digital proofs for your approval before proceeding with the print job. If requested, we can also provide hard copy proofs at a low cost, once we receive your order.

What types of paper and finishes do you offer?

We offer a wide selection of paper stocks in various weights, including uncoated, silk, and gloss finishes. We have access to thousands of papers, so please ask if you are unsure what you require, we are always delighted to help you select the right finish. Additionally, you can choose from matt, gloss, or soft-touch lamination, as well as foiling, embossing, spot UV and die-cutting to enhance your printed materials.

Is my print requirement too small for you?

No! We undertake both small and large orders. With our bank of digital presses, we can print an order as little as one sheet. We value all orders and treat them all with the same care and attention.

What is 'print ready' artwork?

We would like 3mm bleed all round and crop marks, ideally all images should be 300 dpi (dots per inch), fonts should be embedded into the PDF. Booklets to be supplied as single pages not pairs or spreads. If you are unsure, our account managers will be able to confirm if artwork is ready for print.

Do you offer customisation options for your products?

Absolutely! We offer a wide range of customisation options including, variable data printing, size, paper types and finish, die cutting, folding, embossing, de-bossing, spot UV varnish, foiling and laminating, to ensure your printed materials align with your vision.

What should I do if I need help with my design?

If you need assistance with your design, our talented and experienced team of graphic designers can help. Contact us to discuss your design needs, and we will provide support to ensure your materials look professional and meet your requirements.

Is your business as sustainable as possible?

We are committed to sustainability and strive to minimise our environmental impact. We offer recycled paper options, our house silk and gloss stocks are 40% recycled as standard, all packaging is recyclable and we employ energy-efficient practices in our production processes.

We only use LED lighting and most of which are on sensors to avoid unnecessary use.

All of our paper waste and cardboard is recycled and our general waste is collected and sorted with a 'nothing to landfill' guarantee.

In addition, Carly Press invests in two carbon offsetting schemes to balance out the carbon footprint of our production.
