May is Local and Community History Month, a time dedicated to celebrating the stories, people, and places that have shaped our communities. For us, this month is especially meaningful — we’re proud to be celebrating 43 years of serving Wellington. Since opening our doors in 1982, we’ve been part of the local fabric, growing alongside the community we call home.
Community history isn’t just about old photos and archives — it’s about the connections, traditions, and resilience that define a place. Every family-run shop, familiar street corner, and long-standing business contributes to the identity of Wellington.
Being part of that legacy for over four decades has given us a front-row seat to the town’s evolution — seeing new families arrive, watching local events grow, and witnessing how neighbours support one another through the years.
